    Kalasatama's central seaside location and a real sense of community are probably the best things about this area of Helsinki. The people here have been instrumental in creating communal projects such as green spaces with growing boxes for plant cultivation, high quality shared spaces, and investments in electric bike charging stations and solar panels.

    Description:

    Helsinki Airport's new extension of Terminal 2, opens from 1st December 2021. Elements of the design emphasise Finnishness in ways passengers will recognise immediately as having just arrived in Finland. Materials important for Finnish construction are visible throughout the terminal. The desire to bring nature into the space has been further realised in the form of a large diorama called Luoto.

    Helsinki Airport's new extension of Terminal 2 opens from 1 December 2021. Finavia's investment in Helsinki-Vantaa Airport began in 2014 and will be completed in 2023. The Terminal 2 extension has been designed by Oodi Library architects, ALA Architects.

    The Helsinki Biennial pavilion on Lyypekinlaituri pier located by Helsinki’s Old Market Hall. The pavilion serves as a departure point for the Helsinki Biennial contemporary art event that takes place in Vallisaari Island in summer 2021. The pavilion is designed by Verstas Arkkitehdit Oy.
